Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How Do I get physical therapy?
A: Your doctor may recommend physical therapy. If not, ask your doctor if physical therapy is right for you. You can also call us! Let us help you through the process.
Q: Does my insurance cover physical therapy?
A: Most insurances pay for physical therapy. In the event of high co-pay or deductibles we offer very liberal no interest payment schedules. We strive to remove the financial barriers between you and the care you deserve. We are very active in lobbying efforts to improve accessibility to physical therapy. Please join in our fight and visit www.movingforwardwithpt.org
Q: Do you accept my insurance?
A: We accept most insurances including Medicare, Worker's Compensation, No Fault, Blue Cross Blue Sheild, Independent Health, Univera, United Health Care, Medicaid, Empire, Fidelis, Tricare, and more. Call our office to see if your specific insurance is accepted.
Q:How do you gauge the effectiveness of physical therapy?
A: We don't. You will. Often recovering takes time but if we are doing our job, you should feel progressively better, not just temporarily better. We always tell our patients to give it 3 weeks. If you do not feel any better in 3 weeks of physical therapy, then we may not be the right intervention for you.
Q: What can Physical Therapy do for me?
A: At Ascend Physical Therapy our licensed, skilled physical therapists excel in the treatment of muskuloskeletal problems such as Back Pain, Neck Pain, Disc Herniation, Sciatica, "Pinched Nerve", Shoulder Pain, Knee Pain, Ankle Pain, Hip Pain, Sprains, Strains, Fractures, Post operative conditions, Vertigo, and many others. The American Physical Therapy Association provides an informative interactive guide for commonly treated orthopedic conditions. www.moveforwardpt.com
